About Me

I was born in 1959 in Oxford, UK. I have drawn and painted on and off most of my life, mainly self-taught, but have lately had the opportunity to learn from a couple of local artists. These have given me new skill sets and my painting is continually evolving.

Having always lived in Old Marston, Oxford, (I have never moved) means I grew up, went to school and still know many of the people locally.

Although much has changed in those years, many of the local landscape, such as  University Parks, is the same, changing only with the seasons.

Drawing and painting has always been my ‘safe place’, somewhere I can escape the everyday world and immerse myself in the moment. Whether it’s expressing myself in what is going on inside of me or reflecting on what I see. Externalising is good for you.

I work mainly in watercolour but also use acrylic paints as well as coloured pencils.
